I checked out 4 Hotels to give a cross section of possibilities close to the reunion gatherings. Prices listed are a guide not actual because they fluctuate and may increase closer to our event. Tip: ask for Sr. Citizens discount and/or AAA member discount
Penfield/Panorama Trail: Marriott Courtyard(approx. $279/per night, Sr discount and Fri night less than Saturday) and Hampton Inn - no block rooms due to a wedding which reserved all of them
Pittsford Canal - Demonte (approx. $233/night) - walking distance to many restaurants in Pittsford. Across the street from Schon Place which has a cross section of restaurants. It is a approx. 3 mile walk along the canal to Bushnell's Basin which has many excellent restaurants
Downtown - Strathallen (Double Tree Hilton) on East Ave (approx. $470/per night) - walking distance to the (new to many)
Rochester East End, Park Ave and beautiful East Ave

Rochester has lots of hotels depending on how far you want to drive. You might want to google Hotels on Jefferson Rd and Henrietta.

Depending on your reunion/vacation planning, you may want to consider VBRO, Air BnB, cottages/houses for rent (may be off season). Canandaigua Lake is about a 40-60 minute drive depending on where you are staying. If you extend your reunion stay, Canandaigua Lake is very close to the extensive wine trails along Seneca and Cayuga Lake. Of course, there are cottages for rent on those lakes but for the reunion that would be closer to a 60 minute drive.

Hi Everyone,

I just read Jerry Parr's post on FB regarding the Stathallen price of a little over $100.00/per night - radically different than the quote I got in Jan. of around $470. I called the Strathallen again ( 2/16) and was quoted for AAA discount $316.71 per night. This confirms what every desk person said to me in January - prices fluctuate. It will be impossible to keep up with local hotels in order to give you a clear picture of hotel price and availability. Also check on cancellation policy (some hotels want reservation paid for in full, others allow, for example, a 2 week cancellation period).

I also called The Woodcliff Spa and Conference Center in Fairport which is a nice place to stay. I checked their availability on line for 10/6-8 (long wait for 'next available agent'). The site says 1 room left and with an AAA discount is $556 for the 2 nights. They have multiple packages listed (spa, breakfast, etc.).

Hope this helps your travel planning.
