As a lifetime bocce aficionado, I have vivid memories of that day... Gordon Shay organized the whole thing.... we had a parade up thru the circle in front of the High School, and I believe a Bocce Queen...? who was the Queen? We were ahead of our times.. Bocce should be in the Olympics. Jarts was too dangerous for our class.
