First of all... this is a private website owned by Jim Gubiotti and Lynne Perry. It's not a general DIY or subset of a publicly available subscription service. As such, we retain complete control of the content and of users use of the website.
This is theOFFICIAL PENFIELD 1973 HIGH SCHOOL WEB SITE.
All others were previously created under conditions and terms controlled by companies and businesses in the global website marketing arena. This website is truly ours and yours.
That being said, the Admins and Moderators of the website appointed by Jim & Lynne and including Jim & Lynne have at their discretion complete control of user submitted content.
So here's theRoolz.
1. Play nice. This sandbox belongs to the subscribers of this website who were in the class of '73. Topics to avoid include politics, religion, gender and racial opinions. Take those offline from here. If you're having a bad day, check your attitude at the door (or in this case your Login). This website is set up specifically for Classmates to be in touch, stay in touch, and share thoughts and memories of their High School and Penfield experiences. It will also be used to coordinate events like our 50th reunion, promote Penfield based businesses that support the site, and maybe some other stuff, too, down the road.
2. Be warned. Admins and Monitors can (and will) at their discretion ban users who aggressively bully, insult, harrass, stalk, insult and/or belittle another Classmate via publicly responding to a Classmates website post or via attacking them privately through the website message system. You have been warned.
3. Acceptable behaviours can include using tongue in cheek speech (be sure to make it obvious), humor, mild profanity, and polite corrections of Classmates content. Also posting questions and concerns, participating in the open discussion forums, providing helpful information, and generally being respectufl and considerate of all of our registered Classmates.
So generally speaking... just be a decent sort of person.
Lastly, remember... your words will be here long after you've wandered off. Post accordingly.
