David wishes to be remembered to neighbors and classmates: Bob Stowell, Linda Moore, Gary Cease, Ken and Carole Miller and Elisabeth Gunlock! I will be seeing him in Sweden this summer. He is retired, a published researcher, professor, archeologist (Sami culture), from the University of Umea. Please forward this communication if you happen to have contact with any of these six individuals. Thanks, Beth Wallin Wheeler

Thanks for posting, Elizabeth! This is the sort of interaction we hope for on this web site.

You might also consider posting it on the class of '73 Facebook page.

Smile

...I guess that's all she wrote.

Follow-up. I saw David who lives in Harnosand, Sweden and he still teaches at the University of Umea, and is certified to perform site evaluations (surveillance of land before construction) in order to protect antiquities in the country of Sweden. He also oversees an archeology dig site (Sami culture). He is semi retired and planning on writing/publishing about his research when he is not travelling so much. He graciously gave us an incredible tour of Viking Mounds, petroglyphs, moose pits, northern countrysides and forests, all the while narrating a wealth of historical knowledge and reflections about preservation and discovery of ancient cultures. We didn't solve the problems of the world but we had meanigful discussions about politics, music, and beer (to name a few). It was great to share childhood memories and where life had taken us. He also wishes to be remembered to Jeff Moses!
